No Self Control when it comes it Hautelook

I kept it to blush, lipstick and lip gloss...& only one of each (go me!).

Zea Mays Blush in 42 Apricot
It's so lush and smooth and ....the color is fantastic. With a great contour, this color will be perfect with a smokey eye....I see it and I'm excited to wear it.

Cherry Lip Gloss in Plum
This color looked like it was going to be super opaque but it's a creamy plummy red color and it's smooth and smells delicious. These lip glosses smell like cherry and I love it. Definitely will be going to sephora to get more (this will be a problem).

Lipstick in Natural
Perfect color and moisture. I needed something sort of sheer, but with enough color to make me feel like there is something on my lips. This is it, it's like a rosy...mauvy...sheer beautiful color. My lips are more pigmented so for less pigmented lips this will probably have more color. It's moisturizing and will more likely than not become my every day lipstick.

Friday favorite!

Each week I pick one product that stands out as something ah-mah-zing!

NYC Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder.

Omgersh! I have had trouble finding a bronzer I can contour in & not spend a ton of money to find out if I like it. This is great and will work with many skin tones. It's smooth creamy and perfect for a contour.

It's $5....try it! Love it!

Face of the day!

Today's face of the day is a pretty simple look for work. I can't get too outrageous normally but today I NEEDED to do something with duo chrome. Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Pallete has a beautiful brown/blue/turquoise duo chrome color that I used in my outer V as a hint of color for this cold day in SoCal.

Products I used:
•Wet N Wild Comfort Zone pallete
•Loreal Cupa Joe Pallete (dupe for the matte's in Naked 1)
•Covergirl Mink (not pictured)
•NYX Slide on Glide on..... Eyeliner in black
•Loreal Voluminous Million Lashes (great volume, terrible for length)
•Rimmel Lash Accelerator (amazing length)
•NYC Liquid Lipshine Rivington Rose

Not pictured products:
•I also used NYX blush in PB13 Mauve. This is my favorite everyday blush it's BEAUTIFUL!
•Benefit Watts Up
•Wet n Wild Fergie Collection Centerstage pallete (this is an amazing highlighter and dupe for Mac Mineralized Skin Finish

October favorites

Every month you use products that are just great and life changing. I try to use different type of the same products as much as possible to see what's really out there & this month is no different. Here are a few of the things that I have been loving in October.
lush lip scrub Mint Julep
I've never used any lush product before even though people always talk about how amazing they are and now....I'm obsessed *sigh. This lip scrub is amahzing and all natural (making my heart sing). Now for $8 it doesn't necessarily seem pricey but there is no lush near me meaning I have to order online...but, my lips are hella dry during the fall and winter so I'll pay anything (ish) for it work.
•Jordana easy liner in mint
If you're not using these eyeliners idk what you're doing in life. They're like $2 and so creamy and come in so many fun colors and don't waste your money on urban decay eye liners, they're the same thing!! But seriously this color is everything and POPS off my eyes. Love
•Revlon Super lustrous lipstick berry couture
So you use the super lustrous lipsticks, right? No, really you need to. They're creamy and lush and beautiful. This berry color is...fuschia and so pretty and if I could wear it every day I would! And I match it with my Maybelline Color sensational lipgloss in the same beautiful color.
•c. Booth honey & almond body butter
Found at Ulta...The container says this is a natural product, but if you read the labels it has EDTA and Parabens. Which suck....but really it's amazing anyways but I have to move on to the next body butter. But it's so smooth and creamy and luscious. However, it didn't last very long....I went through it in like 3 weeks (boo).

Face of the day

Today's face of the day. I'm keeping it pretty neutral today, but neutrals are my favorite! Using mattes and shimmer together in a neutral look make everything lovely.

Products used:
-Korres pomegranate mattifying treatment (still testing this out, so far it's okay)
-Revlon color stay whipped in 340 caramel (holy grail foundation. Your face will look amazing. Light to medium coverage and buildable)
-bh cosmetics 28 neutral pallette
-NYC liquid liner in black (easy to use for beginners and it's like $2!!)
-Jordana easy liner in smokey (a very darkblue gray color. Also $1, found at walgreens)

you paid how much for that?

Most of the time, that's totally a bad thing  like seriously you paid full price?? No? That's just me? Okay fine, but really, when it comes to beauty, why pay full price?

As a fellow product junkie, I know you know how expensive this can all get, I sorta don't want to think about how much I've spent...even with discounts. Can't even lie, my favorite thing ever is telling someone where I got something (we gotta help each other out over here, don't be stingy about these things!) and for how much. Trust and believe, I have a coupon or a code....or google does.

Best advice I can give you, fellow junkies, is shop smart. When a product first comes out there are sales, coupons (check magazines, girls!), and samples! Try it, do you love it? go on YouTube, are the gurus talking about it? What do the reviews look like? For drug store this is easy, most products are discussed. High end this gets hard.

Become a member or sign up for the card everywhere. Sephora, Ulta (personal favorite), CVS, Walgreens....get the card. They have discounts and sales and they'll email you members' only coupons. This is the easiest way to save money, they want you to save.

Shop at unexpected places. Marshall's, Ross, TJ MAXX, and anything similar....literally they have body products and some beauty. All at discounted prices. Is the excitement too much?! They have great things, I recently went their and got some of my favorite brands there and so much cheaper, which makes my wallet happy. See that pic up there? Marshall's. They have Korres, previously I thought only found at sephora. And a natural brand, my soul says yes.

I hate to steal Marshall's tagline (unless their tryna sponsor...whatttuuppp), but NEVER pay full price for fabulous.
